Greg: Roosevelt: 9/1/2023

I enjoyed a beautiful Friday on Roosevelt as the Labor Day crowds descended on the lake. Fishing was good. I arrived at Fort Spokane around 10 AM and fished until 4 PM. I caught 13 walleyes ranging from 14 to 17 inches. The water temperature continues to be about 71 degrees. It was a bright sunny day with a light wind out of the north in the morning with very little wind in the afternoon.

The fillet station on the dock near the picnic area at Fort Spokane is nice. The fish grinders on Roosevelt are closed indefinately, so I appreciate a place to clean fish. It is easy to tie the boat to the dock and clean fish before motoring over to the launch and heading home. The fillet station is big enough for 2 people.

Fillet station about 100 yards downstream of Ft Spokane. It is on the end of the dock near the picnic area.
